These terms govern your use of TakeHomePay.live (the "Service"), operated by Aleph Developments. By using the Service you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What the Service is
TakeHomePay.live provides free paycheck calculators that estimate take-home pay after federal income tax, state income tax, Social Security, and Medicare. The calculator runs entirely in your browser — the figures you enter are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. No account is required.
Estimates only — not professional advice
All results are ESTIMATES ONLY and do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Results are based on approximate 2026 federal tax brackets, standard deductions, FICA rates and wage bases, and state income tax rates.
Real paychecks routinely differ from any calculator's output because of factors we cannot model from a few inputs: your specific Form W-4 elections and dependent credits, pre-tax deductions such as 401(k), HSA, FSA and insurance premiums, post-tax deductions and garnishments, local and municipal income taxes, state disability or paid-family-leave levies, supplemental withholding on bonuses and commissions, multi-state or part-year residency, and mid-year changes in pay or filing status.
Accuracy and updates
Tax law changes frequently, and figures are updated on a best-effort basis. We do not warrant that rates, brackets, or thresholds are current or complete at any given moment. Always confirm figures against your actual pay stub, IRS Publication 15 (Circular E), your state revenue department, or a qualified tax professional before relying on them for budgeting, withholding changes, or filing.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Service unlawfully, don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer it, and don't scrape it at abusive volumes. You may share and reference results freely.
Ad-Free Pass and payments
An optional Ad-Free Pass removes advertising. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your card details. Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy.
Advertising
The Service is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertisers are third parties and we are not responsible for the content of ads or the products they promote. How advertising cookies work, and how to opt out, is described in our Privacy Policy.
No warranty
The Service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TakeHomePay.live and Aleph Developments are not liable for any decision made based on calculator results, nor for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including under- or over-withholding, penalties, interest, or lost income. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months.
Third-party links
Pages may link to third-party sites such as the IRS or state revenue departments. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date above reflects the latest revision, and continued use after a change means the new terms apply.
